  • Ditch the Plastic and Go Digital with pay+, Ooredoo’s Handy Mobile Wallet

Mobilk - Mobile wallets are a great way to ditch the plastic, but there are many more reasons to use pay+. A collaboration between Ooredoo and the National Bank of Oman (NBO), pay+ allows customers to make contactless deposits, bill payments, transfers, and pay at over 3,000 merchants, using just their mobile numbers. Its most recent addition, an international remittance service, also allows users to send money instantly to over 40 international destinations, including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Egypt. Secure, quick and easy, the state-of-the-art payments solution is constantly enhanced to meet the needs of an increasingly digital world.

Feras bin Abdullah Al Shaikh, Director of Branding and Communications at Ooredoo said, “At Ooredoo we are committed to giving our customers a great digital experience, by offering them the latest technologies that add value to their ever-evolving needs and lifestyles. In line with the increasing use of mobile phones, pay+ has brought the next generation of payments, combining our fast and reliable network with NBO’s banking expertise. Negating the need to remember different cards and pin numbers, it facilitates a range of useful transactions on the one platform nobody ever leaves home without.”

The culmination of a long-term partnership between Ooredoo and NBO, pay+ is part of a commitment to guide Oman towards becoming a largely cashless society and enhance its technological capabilities. Robust security features and increased connectivity, mean that pay+ offers both safety and speed, enhancing the digital lives of customers and merchants across the Sultanate.

To find out more, head to or download the pay+ mobile app from the Apple Store or Google Play.
